Some of the most powerful poses in a yoga practice involve turning the body upside down or inverting. When we turn the body upside down we experience a new and altered view of the world which encourages us to broaden our perspective.
Inversions also have numerous physical benefits including: ∞building strength in the upper body ∞increasing circulation to the head and torso ∞stimulating the immune and endocrine systems
Emotionally, inversions help us develop a sense of inner strength and balance.
In this workshop, we will move through several variations of forearm balance, handstand, headstand and shoulderstand. With proper alignment, sequencing and props you may be surprised by how accessible these very beneficial poses can be.
