Still Seated Meditation and Standing Movement Energy Work
Most of us, live very full and busy lives. It is difficult to attend class regularly. With this in mind, Ken would like to invite you to join him in the first of a continuing series of supplementary seminars focusing on developing your own home practice of meditation and energy work that can fit practically into your lifestyle.

The first hour will be dedicated to learning seated meditation based on the Zen method. Students will learn how to correctly still their bodies into a comfortable yet alert sitting posture on the floor or in a chair that is conducive to meditation. The techniques that will be explored, will include breath following, breath counting, and wall gazing (just sitting).

In the second hour, these meditation concepts will be brought into movement by practicing a series of Chi Kung energy exercises. These safe and therapeutic movements will be performed while standing. The exercises are performed in a slow and relaxed manner to encourage "body awareness" of alignment and balance, joint opening and rotation, range of motion, and coordination during movement.

This seminar will place special emphasis on learning the correct approach to exercise: working comfortably at your own pace, selecting appropriate exercises for your skill level, addressing your specific needs / limitations, and cutting right to the heart of the matter...being realistic about setting up a regular and maintainable practice schedule.
After learning to exercise correctly, you will feel physically energized and mentally rejuvenated! Not stiff, tired and mentally frustrated.

Wear loose comfortable clothing. Bare feet, socks, or clean indoor exercise shoes.
