Jo Anne Sellars ♦ Tai Chi 16 Movement Form
Jo Anne Sellars has been practicing Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan for 10 years and holds the rank of Golden Eagle from the International Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan Association.  She received a bronze medal in Senior Women’s Straight Sword at the 3rd International Demonstration and Competition of Traditional Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan of Shanxi, China in 2007. Jo Anne’s studies have been with Holly Sweeney-Hillman, Master Yang Jun and Grand Master Yang Zhen Duo. Before Tai Chi, Jo Anne had extensive training in dance.  She received an M.S. in Dance from George Washington University and was a member of the adjunct faculty there. She studied ballet with Edna MacRae in Chicago and Modern Dance with Robert Cohen, Bertram Ross and Patricia Birch from the Martha Graham Co. at the Dance Circle of Boston and the Paul Taylor Co., Erick Hawkins and Bella Lewitsky at American University Wolftrap Center for the Performing Arts, among others.  Jo Anne was the Commissioner for Dance on the Alexandria, VA. Commission for the Arts and participated in the National Endowment for the Arts Artists in the Schools Program and the Washington Careers in the Arts Program.
