Elisa Stearns ♦ Beginner Vinyasa
Elisa Stearns, RYT, has nine years experience as a yoga teacher. Her interest in yoga began in college after taking her first class with Dr. Rob Gilbert at Montclair State University. After earning a BA in Humanities and Philosophy at the university, Elisa studied yoga privately with Esther Lampert, RN, who encouraged her to become a teacher.

After raising her two children, she returned to yoga and studied with Raji Thron. In 2002, she received her teaching certification in Yoga Synthesis. She has continued her yogic studies under the guidance and inspiration of many teachers, including Ellen Pfeffer, Raji Thron, Dharma Mittra, Aadil Palkhivala and Doug Keller.

Elisa teaches a dynamic Vinyasa-based class focusing on breath, alignment, and core energy. Her classes are stimulating and uplifting, reflecting a passionate devotion to teaching. As a teacher, her goal is to empower her students to find their inner strength, balance, and wisdom.

Elisa has recently completed a certification with Sadie Nardini in Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga and Level I training in Restorative Yoga with Jillian Pransky. She is also a Reiki Master practitioner. She is grateful to her teachers past and present and to her students who keep her on the path of Svadhyaya.
