The Alexander Technique is an educational form of bodywork that helps us identify and improve the movement patterns causing pain or discomfort to our bodies.
Most of us unknowingly bring tension upon ourselves through the mindless and habitual movement of our bodies as in poor posture. These patterns are ingrained from an early age and are a culmination of unconscious choices and life experience. But there is hope!
Through hands-on work, you'll become aware of your habits and replace them with freer and more balanced posture. This is learned through the basics of standing, walking and sitting. The principles of the Technique are also conveyed through a relaxing series of movements lying supine. Over time you'll see your own movement become more effortless and naturally graceful.
